At Passaddhi, our hydrosols are the reason we distil. Each small batch is handcrafted using hydrodistillation in a traditional copper alembic still, with the botanical water intentionally produced as the primary product - not as a by-product of essential oil production.
Biodynamically grown Kawakawa (Piper excelsum), slowly hydrodistilled at Passaddhi Eco Retreat to create this therapeutic, refreshing and restorative hydrosol.
Traditionally valued for its soothing, restorative and skin-supportive properties. It is particularly suited to dry, irritated, sensitive or blemish-prone skin, helping to calm redness and support the skin’s natural balance.
When applied to the hair and scalp, Kawakawa hydrosol can help soothe dryness and irritation while refreshing hair.
Its distinctive earthy, peppery aroma provides a grounding and uplifting experience, making it a wonderful meditation spray.
Daily ritual: mist onto face as a toner, cooling body mist, after-sun spritz, or gentle skin refresher throughout the day. Can also be sprayed into your water bottle for internal use.
Dog friendly, can be misted onto inflamed, itchy skin, hot spots, rashes, insect bites or minor scrapes.
